Demers honored
PUTNAM — Jonathan Demers was named Putnam Bank’s Employee of the Month for August. Demers has been with the bank since April 2004, and currently serves as a floating CSR/head teller.
He said, “I am at a loss for words. I am thankful that the people I work with think I should receive the nomination of Employee of the Month. It does take a team, so this is not mine alone. It goes to everyone.”
Demers is an actor at the Bradley Playhouse and The Little Theater on Broad Street. If he is not on stage, then he’s part of the crew, or volunteering in the lobby. He is also a participant of Extra Life, a non-profit organization where thousands of gamers unite to play games in support of their local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. He supports the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center in Hartford. Jon donates as much time, money, or both to local charitable organizations as possible. He said, “Why be in a community if you do not help?”
“Jon exemplifies all that we expect from the best of our team members; work ethic, team spirit, and community engagement. I’m pleased that Jon is this month’s recipient of this recognition” said Thomas A. Borner, president and CEO of Putnam Bank.
