successes at annual meeting
NORWICH — At the annual meeting of CorePlus Federal Credit Union employee recognition and service awards were made.
The President’s Spirit Award was presented to Magen Dickey of Norwich, Member Service Representative, in recognition of her continuing positive spirit and enthusiasm. Anniversary pins recognizing 3, 5 and 15 years of CorePlus service were presented to 11 staff members, 8 of which were 15 year pins.
Warren Scholl, recently retired president and CEO, said in 2013 the credit union made over $90 million in loans to its members, with over $17 million of that in first mortgage loans.  CorePlus had over 11,000 outstanding loan accounts at year end, a 9.1 percent increase over 2012. Over 14 percent of all income received in 2013 was returned to members in the form of dividends or increased ownership equity. CorePlus Federal Credit Union donated more than $47,700 to local non-profit, charity, education and community based groups in 2013.
The business portion of the meeting saw the re-election of Bill Jorsz, David Moorehead and Priscilla Wells to three-year terms on the Board of Directors, and Supervisory Committee Chairman Bill Poirier to a one-year term.
