Putnam Request
for Proposals (RFP)
The Town of Putnam is requesting proposals from qualified firms with experience in library relocation planning and moving services to perform the relocation of the Putnam Public Library’s library collections (books and materials), from its current location at 225 Kennedy Drive, Putnam CT, to the newly constructed Municipal Complex at 208 School Street, Putnam, CT; and the Putnam Town Hall (Municipal Offices) from its current location at 126 Church Street, to the newly constructed Municipal Complex.
Minimum qualifications as follows: responding firms must have successfully completed at least 5 public library moving projects, with collections of at least 40,000 items including books and audio-visual materials, in the last 5 years.

A Pre-Bid Conference and Site Inspection of both the existing Library, Town Hall and Municipal Complex is scheduled for Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at 10AM, beginning at the Putnam Public Library located at 225 Kennedy Drive, followed by the Town Hall at 126 Church Street, with the final site walk to take place at the new Municipal Complex at 208 School Street.
Proposals must be received in the Mayor’s Office, 126 Church Street, Putnam, CT 06260 by 3:00 PM on July 2, 2021. Full instructions for submittal are contained within the RFP.

The Putnam Board of Selectmen will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, June 21, 2021, at 7:30 PM. The purpose of said hearing will be to receive public comment on the proposed.
Amendment of the Rehabilitation Area Program Ordinance
The Rehabilitation Area Program Ordinance (the “Ordinance”) originally adopted on February 4, 2002, is hereby amended as follows:
1. The list of properties set forth on Exhibit A attached to the Ordinance is herby deleted and the following is inserted in lieu thereof: “All of those pieces or parcels of real property located within the territorial limits of the City of Putnam, as heretofore constituted, also known as the Putnam Special Services District.”
This Amendment shall become effective twenty-one days after the date of publication.
