Bulky Waste Collection
PUTNAM --- The Town of Putnam will collect bulky waste, scrap metal/appliances, mattresses and electronics from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the Putnam Middle School. There will be people there to help lift and move items. Putnam residents only --- bring proof of residency. You can bring: furniture, large appliances, plumbing fixtures, mattresses, TVs, computers, monitors, printers, VCRs, microwaves, old stereos, computer parts, scrap metal and miscellaneous electronics, etc. Free: Mattresses, box springs, electronics and scrap metal including appliances. Putnam stickers apply, otherwise. For the number of stickers needed, look in the town’s trash pamphlet or on the highway department’s page. I.E. Large plastic items (lawn chairs, kids’ playsets and sandboxes, coolers) require one $1 sticker. Something larger like a kayak or canoe needs three $1 stickers.
