DANIELSON — David A. Gill, 80, died June 13, 2021, at Hartford Hospital.  He was the husband of Claudette (Auger) Gill.  Born in 1941 in W. Hartford, he was the son of the late parents William L. and Jeanette M. (Rivard) Gill. He was a proud veteran who served in the U.S. Navy Reserves and U.S. Air Force.
Mr. Gill worked as a funeral director and embalmer.  
He also retired as an extruder operator for Rogers Corporation.
David was a member of the Knights of Columbus and will be remembered as a deeply religious man.
He enjoyed reading, movies, parakeets, and car collectables.
He leaves two sons, Patrick Gill (Melissa) of Wethersfield and Terence Gill of Providence; a brother, William Gill Jr. of Chaplin; and four grandchildren, Savannah Gill, Ava Gill, Syrena Gill, and Austin Gill. He was predeceased by his son, James Gill and his sister Carol Wylie.
A private graveside service was held at Holy Cross Cemetery in Danielson with military honors.
