As part of its participation in the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston’s Jobs for New England Recovery Grant Program, Jewett City Savings Bank has awarded $10,000 grants to five non-profit organizations. The grants, made possible through the Bank’s membership in the Federal Home Loan Bank, are designed to support organizations that have experienced significant losses due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The recipients of a $10,000 grant include:
• American Legion Mayotte-Viens Post #13 of Putnam
• Northeast Opportunities for Wellness (NOW) of Putnam
• Renaissance City Theatre at the Granite Theatre, Westerly, Rhode Island
• Quinebaug Valley Community College Foundation (QVCC) of Killingly
• Eastern Connecticut Performing Arts Association of Griswold
“COVID-19 has had a devastating impact on the community organizations that are so vital to enriching our lives and communities.
