On dean's list
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. --- Western New England University named Matthew Weiss of Thompson, to its dean's list for the fall semester 2021. Weiss is one of over 700 students who achieved this mark of academic excellence. Students are named to the Dean’s List for achieving a semester grade point average of 3.30 or higher.

WILLIMANTIC --- Eastern Connecticut State University’s men’s baseball and women’s softball teams are set to begin their spring 2022 seasons.
Among the student-athletes is senior Bryan Albee of Danielson, number 16, who majors in criminology and plays pitcher on the baseball team.
