INVITATION TO BID
The Town of Pomfret, Connecticut hereby seeks Design/Build bids for the replacement of the deck at the Pomfret Public Library, 449 Pomfret Street, Pomfret, CT 06258.
Bids should include design and build for a 1170 approximate sf deck to replace the current deck. Bids to include material specifications.
Bids will be received at the offices of the First Selectman, 5 Haven Road, Pomfret Center, CT 06259 until Thursday, July 27, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at which time they will be publicly opened.  Specifications and other information may be obtained at the Town of Pomfret website.

Continue public hearing on Docket # 2023-06 Putnam River Road, LLC & 285 River Road, LLC request for a Special Permit for excavation of approximately 363,000 yards of earth material in conjunction with an 11-lot residential subdivision. Two permanent ponds are proposed as part of the earth excavation.  Properties located at 285 River Road, Town Assessors Map 043 Lot 005, Zoned Agricultural-2 and 357 River Road, Town Assessors Map 043, Lot 010, Zoned Agricultural-2.
 
Public Hearing on Docket # 2023-06 Town of Putnam Zoning Commission request to amend Section 605 Floodplain of the Town of Putnam Zoning Regulations. The Commission’s proposed amendment would consist of revised regulations from the Department of Energy & Environmental Protection necessary for the Flood Insurance Program for the Town of Putnam.

Legal Notice is hereby given to the taxpayers of the Town and Fire District of Pomfret that the first installment of taxes on the Grand List of October 1, 2022, is DUE AND PAYABLE July 1, 2023.  The last day to pay without penalty is August 1, 2023.
Per State Statute, interest will be charged at 18% annually (1.5% per month), with a minimum charge of $2.00 per entity (Town and Fire District are separate entities) on all delinquent payments postmarked after August 1, 2023.
Please make all checks payable to Pomfret Tax Collector.  The mailing address is 5 Haven Road, Pomfret Center, CT 06259.  If a receipt is desired, please enclose a stamped, self-addressed envelope.  For more information or to pay online, go to www.pomfretct.gov.
Tax office hours are:  Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and Wednesday
8:30 am to 6:00 pm, closed on Fridays.  If you have any questions, please call 860-974-0394.  
The Town Hall will be closed on July 4, 2023.
