The public is hereby notified and warned that a Public Hearing will be held in Room 109 of the Putnam Municipal Complex at 200 School Street, Putnam, CT at 6:15 in the evening Nov. 6, 2023, for purposes of discussing the proposed disposition of surplus town real estate at 56 Groveland Avenue, 58 Groveland Avenue, 110 Groveland Avenue, 157 Black Oak Avenue and 94 Oak Street pursuant to Section 255-3 of the Code of Ordinances, and to release the temporary cul-de-sac located on property at 20 Dudley Street as approved by the Planning Commission.

The Electors and Citizens qualified to vote in Town Meeting of the Town of Putnam, Connecticut, are hereby notified and warned that a Special Town Meeting of said Town will be held in the Municipal Complex at 200 School Street, Putnam, CT at 6:30 Nov. 6, 2023, in the evening for the following purposes:

1.  To choose a moderator for said meeting.

2.  To consider and act upon the following resolution:

RESOLVED:  That the Board of Selectmen, pursuant to Section 255-3 of the Code of Ordinances of the Town of Putnam, be authorized to dispose of surplus town real estate at 56 Groveland Avenue, 58 Groveland Avenue, 110 Groveland Avenue, 157 Black Oak Avenue and 94 Oak Street by public auction in such manner as appears to them to be in the best interest of the Town of Putnam.

3.   To release the temporary cul-de-sac located on property at 20 Dudley Street as approved by the Planning Commission.

In accordance with the provisions of Section 9-226 of the General Statutes of Connecticut, notice is given that the Electors, the legal voters of the Town of Pomfret, Connecticut, are hereby warned to meet at the Pomfret Community School Auditorium, 20 Pomfret Street (junction of Routes 101 & 169), Pomfret, Connecticut, on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, from 6:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. to cast their ballots for the following:

1.One Town Clerk (Vote for One); (2) Two Board of Finance (Vote for Up to Two);  (2) Two Board of Education (Vote for Up to Two, Three to be Elected); (1) One Board of Assessment Appeals (Vote for One); (2) Two Planning & Zoning Commission (Vote for Up to Two); (1) One Planning & Zoning Commission Alternate (Vote for One); (2) Two Zoning Board of Appeals (Vote for Up to Two); (1) One Zoning Board of Appeals Alternate (Vote for One); (4) Four Constables (Vote for Up to Four, Seven to be Elected); (3) Three Library Trustees Full Term (Vote for Up to Three);  (1) One Library Trustees to Fill Vacancy for Two Years (Vote for One).  

      The polls will be open for voting during said hours: 6:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. in the Pomfret Community School Auditorium, 20 Pomfret Street, Pomfret Center, Connecticut 06259.

Notice to all ELECTORS, LEGAL VOTERS of the Town of Pomfret.  Under Section 9-261 of the General Statutes of Connecticut, ALL VOTERS must present to the official checkers IDENTIFICATION when they go to the polls to vote.  This may include the elector’s Social Security card, or any other preprinted form of identification which shows the elector’s name, and either the elector’s address, signature, or photograph; or on a form prescribed by the Secretary of the State, the elector may write his residential address, date of birth, print the elector’s name and SIGN a statement under the penalty of false statement that the elector is the elector whose name appears on the official checklist.
