PUTNAM — The 2023 Clipper Classic brought victory to the Putnam High School boys’ team. Putnam High School Athletic Director Joe Pishka said Putnam defeated Plainfield 50-44 in the finals. Tournament Outstanding Player Award went to Putnam’s Noah Rudman after scoring 22 points. On the girls’ side Plainfield defeated Ellis Tech in the finals of the Clipper Classic 37-26. Tournament Outstanding a player Award went to Morgan Yonush of Plainfield following a 21 point performance in the finals. Clipper Classic award winners included: All Tournament Team and All Academic: Lily Goyette. Brady Devlin won the Boys’ All Academic Award and Noah Rudman won the All Tournament Team Award.
