Dedication
Last week Michael “Peach” Campbell E-911 Dispatch Center was officially dedicated as the “Peach Campbell” E-911 Dispatch Center. Peach served his community for over 38 years starting as a Dispatcher in 1985, and was later promoted to Communications Supervisor where he dispatched the Putnam Police, Putnam Fire Department and Putnam EMS. Peach was the lifeline between the citizens and businesses of Putnam Special Service District and its First Responders. He died unexpectedly Nov. 8, 2023.  The entrance to the Dispatch Center now bears a memorial plaque which reads: "The “Peach Campbell” E-911 Dispatch Center. In honor of our beloved friend and colleague Michael “Peach” Campbell who worked as Dispatcher & Communication Supervisor in the Putnam E-911 Dispatch Center for over 38 years.  “You left us too soon.” Dedicated April 19, 2024, during National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week April 14-20, 2024.”
