Open House boost
PUTNAM — Feb. 16 the Putnam Lions Club contributed to the officers and members of the Putnam Fire Department, East Putnam Fire Department and Putnam EMS a check for $200 to assist with the upcoming “Open House and Fire Safety Program.”
The “Open House and Fire Safety Program” is from 9 a.m. to noon Feb. 23 at the Putnam Fire House on Church Street. All welcome. Worcester Sharks Mascot Finz will be visiting from 10 to 11 a.m.
“We hope that by supporting this program, another tragic fire will be avoided,” said Putnam Lion Karyn DiBonaventura. “The Putnam Lions supports the fire safety program and hopes that any Putnam resident without a smoke detector in their home will attend.”
