Honors and elections
POMFRET — The Pomfret Volunteer Fire Department recently honored some of their own and elected officers.
Three volunteer firefighters were certified as they passed Firefighter 1 Certification: Ron Johnson, Zack Myers, and Nick Stellitano.
Officers appointed/elected include: Joining Fire Chief Brett Sheldon (appointed by the District) and Deputy Fire Chief Jim Fernstrom (appointed by the Chief, confirmed by the District) are the following, who were elected by the Fire Company Membership: Fire Company President - Pat Boyd; Vice-President - Dwight French; Secretary - Brian Geyer; Treasurer - Marcia Williams and Assistant Fire Chief - Derek May.
