House gets
renovation

POMFRET --- The Old Town House will be in line for additional renovations after the final paperwork for a new state grant is completed.
The town has been awarded a Small Town Economic Assistance Program grant in the amount of $100,000, according to First Selectman Jim Rivers.
The final paperwork is just completed and the grant will go toward continued renovations of the town's former town hall building.
The grant will be used for more work on the building's roof and sill. Tables and chairs for the inside and painting outside are also possible.
Rivers said if there is enough grant money left, a new heating system will be installed.
