PUTNAM — Emma Redfield was recently elected the new president of the Interact Club. Redfield, a senior at The Woodstock Academy, has been a member of the Interact Club since her sophomore year. The Interact Club, a youth community service part of the Putnam Rotary Club, has been active. Aug. 10 the Interact Club supported the DHK road race. The Interact members helped manage the Kids Run. Aug 18 the Interact Club supported the Putnam Rotary at the Main Street Car Cruise, handing out cookies and selling refreshments.
The Interact Club’s first meeting of the school year is at 6 p.m. Sept. 10 at the Teen Center at the Hale YMCA. Students ages 12 - 18 are welcome. The club meets from 6 to 7 p.m. the second and fourth Tuesday from September through May. The club has family activities, too. For info call Roberta Rocchetti, Interact advisor, at 860 -933-8603.
