COLLECTIONS
The July 2019 billing of water and/or sewer taxes for the Town of Putnam WPCA is due and payable on August 1, 2019, with the Town Revenue Collector.
Payments made after August 1, 2019, are delinquent and will be subject to an interest charge for both water and sewer at 1.5 % per month or $2.00 minimum whichever is higher, according to Connecticut State Statute SEC. 12-146.
Mail must be postmarked no later than August 1, 2019,   to avoid interest charges.
Online payments can be made at the Town of Putnam website – www.putnamct.us after July 1, 2019.

The first installment of taxes, due to the Town of Putnam, Special Service District, East Putnam Fire District and West Putnam District on the Grand List of October 1, 2018, is due and payable on July 1, 2019, through August 1, 2019.
TO AVOID INTEREST CHARGES, MAIL MUST
BE POSTMARKED NO LATER THAN AUGUST 1, 2019
Payments made after August 1, 2019, will be subject to an interest charge of 3 % (1.5 % per month) or $2.00 minimum per Town and $2.00 per Special Service District, East Putnam Fire District and West Putnam District (where applicable); whichever is higher, according to Connecticut State Statute, Sec. 12-146.

2. To Approve Heart & Hypertension 15% Additional Disability Claim and Appropriate $76,830.00 from the Special Services District General Fund Balance

WILLIMANTIC — Tayler Shea ’19 of Danielson, who majors in psychology, was one of 20 students who took part in a global field course in Hawaii, titled “Cross-Cultural Well-Being and Relationships in Hawaii.”

PUTNAM — Two Putnam High School awards ceremonies with 31 athletes winning awards and 59 scholarships awarded.
At the annual Award and Scholarship night 59 scholarships totaling over $119,900 were awarded to 38 students.
William Hull, Putnam superintendent said, “These events are a highlight of the year, where we get to highlight our terrific students. What makes these evenings extra special is the number of alumni that come back to the high school community and contribute.  Both evenings could not take place without these wonderful alumni.  Our alumni are constantly giving back to the district and helping our students. I would also like to thank all the organizations and families for their generosity and support for our students. On behalf of the entire Putnam community and Putnam Public Schools, I would also like to congratulate all the recipients. ”
