PUTNAM — As part of this season’s free events, the Town of Putnam is having its annual fireworks display at 9:15 p.m. July 6. The best viewing spots are in Rotary Park and along Kennedy Drive. The rain date is July 7.
Fireworks 2019 major sponsors are Price Chopper and Putnam Bank. Both sponsors have been long time supporters of the Putnam Fireworks. The gold sponsor is Wheelabrator Putnam Inc.
The fireworks day will include fabulous entertainment from East Woodstock Coronet Band and The Big Blue Thang. The East Woodstock Coronet Band will play from 4 to 5:30 p.m. and The Big Blue Thang will play at 7:15 p.m. Bring a lawn chair.
The main fireworks event will blast off at dusk. Refreshments will be available provided by local civic organizations.
Also, in celebration of the 100th Anniversary of Gilman & Valade Funeral Home, there will be souvenirs honoring the anniversary in Rotary Park.
