The first Wee Wander is a Nature Scavenger Hunt from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Nov. 10 at the Lyon Preserve, Wrights Crossing Rd, Pomfret Center. This is a 46+ acre preserve, mostly flat, has easy trails, so all legs can manage. Come anytime between 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. to get to know the Lyon Preserve.
WLT has titled these adventures in nature “Wee Wanders” for a few reasons: Whether you have tiny legs, slow legs, unsteady legs, or even a walker, stroller or cane, you will be able to manage to wander at these select locations; Age and ability are no barrier. WLT welcomes wee and not-so-wee, young and young at heart to come outside for some fresh air; It’ll take just a wee amount of your time - an hour at best, and you can come late or leave early at each scheduled event.
