Published Writer
Pomfret Community School grade 6 student Hannah Johnson is a newly published writer. Hannah submitted a review for a book she read, “Ruby Reinvented” by Ronni Arno to the magazine “Discovery Girls.” The review was published in the November/December 2016 issue of the magazine. Johnson said, “I was surprised because I had written it online very quickly and I didn’t expect that it would get into a magazine. Jenna Tatro, second from right, a sophomore a Putnam High School, recently won the local American Legion Oratorical contest sponsored by the Mayotte- Viens Post #13. All contestants spoke on an aspect of the U.S. Constitution.
