The Cougars lost both games in a double-header last weekend to Central Mass Mustangs.
They finish the season 8-4 in the league and must wait to see if they will qualify for the post-season.
In the first game, the Cougars lost a pitcher’s duel in 10 innings , 3-2. Ben Rumrill pitched the first four innings allowing only one run.
Will Bourgeois pitched the final six innings letting up only two runs, the final run on a misplayed fly ball to end the game.
The second game was a much different game, with ace pitcher Danny Murphy letting up eight runs in the second inning.
The Cougars went on to lose the game in five innings by a final score of 17-4. Ben Rumrill led the Cougars offense with 2 doubles on the day, while Rob Newton added 2 hits.
