Presenting! The grand opening
of the Pomfret library addition
POMFRET — The Pomfret Public Library will celebrate the grand opening of its new building expansion. All are welcome to an Open House from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 11. Guests can tour the beautiful new space and enjoy family friendly activities.
The 2,000 square foot expansion was designed to better accommodate the small library’s many popular programs. It includes expanded deck/outdoor space, a large meeting room, a conference room, a cozy lounge, ADA bathrooms and a kitchenette. Rooms will be available for community gatherings. The project was funded entirely by grants and donations from a generous and caring community.
Pomfret Public Library is at 449 Pomfret St. Parking for this event will be at the Rectory School ball field (across Rt. 44 from the library, look for signs) and at First Congregational Church of Pomfret, 13 Church Road, a short, scenic distance on sidewalks.
