2nd non-credible bomb threat at PMS
PUTNAM — Last week, for the second time in three school days, a threatening email was sent from a compromised Putnam Middle School student email account. The message included a photo of an assault rifle and other items, accompanied by a brief statement.
Working closely with Putnam School System personnel, Putnam Police Department investigators determined that the threat was not credible. No Putnam student was involved, schools remained in session, and the threat did not originate locally.
As with last week’s incident, this case is being reviewed in connection with a series of similar schoolrelated threats recently reported in the region.
