Cooling centers

PUTNAM --- Putnam Emergency Management Director Scott Belleville announced cooling centers.

Gov. Ned Lamont has activated the Connecticut Extreme Hot Weather Protocol.

The Putnam Municipal Complex and the Putnam Public Library will be open as cooling centers:

Putnam Municipal Complex – Room 113: Tuesday 6/30 – noon to 8 p.m.; Wednesday 7/1 – 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Thursday 7/2 – 8 a.mm. to 8 p.m.

Putnam Public Library: Tues a.m. to 8 p.m.; Wednesday 7/1 – 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Thursday 7/2 – 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Neither will be open Friday 7/3 or Saturday 7/4 due to the 4th of July holiday.
