This week’s Pomfret-Eastford Joe Phaneuf Little League results:
Archambault Insurance 6  
Paquette Electric 2
Danny Whittenburg pitched 4 innings of shutout ball as the Archambault Insurance Red Sox defeated the Paquette Electric Tigers 6-2. The Red Sox attack was powered by a triple from Jack Archambault and three consecutive doubles by Dan Whittenburg, Nick Kowalchuck and Ben DiOrio. 
The Tigers Douglas Gerrity struck out 9 through 4 innings of work and hit a two-run homer in the loss. Ryan Black single and Nick Short a double.

 Paquette Electric 5
Red Sox won 17-5. Red sox jumped out to a 3-0 lead but Tigers came out swinging and bounced right back with 5 in the bottom of the first behind a 3 run homer by Conner Bavosi.
Jack Archambault settled down from there and shut the Tigers down the rest of the way.
The Red Sox scored eight in the second and cruised to the victory. Nick Kowalchik had two hits and scored four runs.
Dan Whittenburg and Jack Archambault each scored three runs.
Nick Short and Ryan Black each had 2 hits for the Tigers.
Chase Graphics  13 Pete’s Drive-In 2
The week did not start off well as Chase Graphics visited Pomfret and proceeded to shut down the host team 13-2. Nick Allesandro had two solid hits and Zach Gagnon pitched strong relief but the visiting team simply overmatched the hosts.
Pete’s 7 Brooklyn Bulls 1
The Pete’s  team travelled to Brooklyn May 5 for a match against the Bulls coming up with a 7-1 victory.
Alec Aleczek started the game on the mound and stretched his scoreless streak to 6-2/3 innings. Conor Hanlon provided the offense going 3 for 4 with a home run, triple, double and five RBIs. Kyle Lingard showed his versatility behind the plate and Peter Calabrese closed the game pitching two strong innings giving up only one run.
Pete’s 5 Chase Graphics 0
On May 7 it was back to Putnam to avenge for Monday’s loss. Conor Hanlon pitched a complete game shut-out striking out 14 Dodgers.
Bruce Dexter was the offensive star of the game hustling out two bases loaded infield hits for 2 RBI’s. Luke Matthews had his first major division hit in the victory.
